Job Description

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, in the heart of growing St. Charles County. At St. Charles Community College, we have a passion for student success. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations.

We invite qualified candidates to apply for our full-time Business Administration Faculty position to begin in the Fall 2024 semester for the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction. They will be responsible for assessing student performance in coordination with other members of the Accounting, Economics and Business Administration departments to evaluate effectiveness of teaching and student learning and will have demonstrated successful outcomes with diverse student populations. The normal teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester.

Responsibilities include teaching majors and non-majors in Business Administration as well as other courses in related programs the applicant may be qualified to teach. Some examples of potential courses taught include: Introduction to Business, Business Ethics, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, and Principles of Finance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or in a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Business Administration or a related field. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, will promote/develop student research-based instructional activities, will demonstrate and embrace the use of technology in teaching, and will maintain the highest possible standards in classroom teaching and assessment.

Salaries: Instructor $58,315; Assistant Professor $64,238; Associate Professor $70,620 - Rank will be assessed at the time of hire based on years of experience and education based on pre-determined criteria.
