The University of Michigan Department of Emergency Medicine is currently seeking a Research Assistant to assist multiple investigators in their research related to neurological emergencies, cardiac arrest, imaging utilization, and critical care in emergency medicine.
The Research Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting in all aspects of the research process including data collection (chart review, survey administration, use of electronic health record and maintenance of research databases), scientific literature searches, manuscript and grant preparation. The Research Assistant will learn the proper research protocol in an ED setting, becoming HIPAA and PEERRS certified, and assist with data entry, data organizing, office tasks and other routine project tasks. The Research Assistant will also assist in manuscript and grant preparation by outlining drafts, performing literature searches, maintaining reference databases and by participating in research meetings, preparing meeting notes and carrying out routine correspondence in regards to project activities.
