University of Michigan, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Vice President, Chief Information Officer (VP-CIO) has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director (ED) for Enterprise Application Services (EAS).
You will be a member of the VP-CIO leadership team, the ED leads the departments of EAS, which are to provide and maintain reliable and user-efficient enterprise applications for the user community.
Over the next three to five years, the University of Michigan will undergo a dramatic shift in its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and how daily business activities are managed. This transformational shift will require strategic and empathetic leadership in not only the operational management of enterprise applications, but in guiding a decentralized community of schools, colleges, and administrative units across three campuses through changes to their business systems and operations.
You will manage a $23.0M operating budget, approximately, and the delivery of the university's enterprise applications, including the ERP holistically, across multiple campuses and Michigan Medicine. Additionally, you will manage a large portfolio of additional applications used by the campus community that provide ITS services, including application and mobile development, user experience, and accessibility. 10 years of demonstrated experience managing application systems in organizations across multiple departments.
Six years' experience supervising senior level staff including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Expertise in delivering enterprise level applications that impact large user communities. Experience of application development. Knowledge and management experience with waterfall and Agile system development methodologies.
Experience determining project goals and requirements, anticipating and solving problems, and developing standards for diverse activities. Experience with strategic planning
Experience recruiting and retaining a diverse staff and promoting a inclusive and equitable work environment.
Master's degree in related field
Experience in higher education with knowledge of financial, human resource and physical resource management practices and systems
