Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry at William & Mary , a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, seeks applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Biochemistry. Appointment will begin August 10, 2022. We are interested in individuals with research and teaching expertise in Biochemistry or related fields. 
The applicant is expected to establish and maintain a vibrant, externally funded research program that inspires a highly motivated undergraduate student body. There is also the potential to work with Master’s students. 
Teaching expectation is 1 lecture and 1 laboratory course each semester. Successful applicants must possess the skills to teach compelling courses in Biochemistry and other lecture and seminar-style courses, and to contribute to the general education (COLL) curriculum . 
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field at the time appointment begins (August 10, 2022). 
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in teaching and mentoring successful undergraduate research is preferred. Postdoctoral research experience is highly desirable. 
Conditions of Employment
