We are seeking a talented, highly motivated genetic biologist to join the Department of GGI at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) to work on discovering novel molecular targets in complex traits and polygenetic diseases via genetics and bioinformatics methods. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with some of the leading academic investigators in mouse genetics worldwide to systematically analyze and integrate sources of phenotypes, genetic and epigenetic variation, and gene expression variability in complex traits and diseases.
Description
Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or related fields; knowledge of commonly used bioinformatics tools and public databases; experience working with different types of high throughput data such as microarray, RNA-seq, DNA-seq, ChIP-seq; excellent English verbal and written communication skills; first (or co-first) author of one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications.
