The Behavioral Health Clinical Postdoctoral position for the Behavior Health and Community Unit (BeHCU) is the primary critical patient care component of the service provision. The position requires oversight of the clinical laboratory screening processes. The position requires responsibility for the planning and execution of the center?s objectives through collaboration with staff, internal and external community partners.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the mobile unit clinical screening services (communicative diseases such as HIV and HEP C. The candidate must have the ability to clinical laboratory procedures and protocols; oversee graduate students in clinical processes, recommend and implement improvements in services in an outpatient clinical setting; Interpret, recommend, and implement clinic policies and procedures: jointly supervise, monitor grant-funded program; evaluate the clinic management information system components in coordination with the PI manager. In coordination with Dean of SOHS, and Principal Investigator; act as liaison with State agencies to ensure compliance with state regulations governing the operations of medical clinics; review legislation and program requirements and ensure implementation and compliance as needed; maintain the policy and procedural manuals; Must act as liaison with community organizations and local agencies to coordinate medical services and respond to community medical needs; resolve administrative problems and patient complaints; coordinate the administrative role of the clinic; provide patient education, serve as a resource to supervisees; working knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); monitor service provision outcomes; compliance with state and professional licensure requirements, some didactic training, engagement in research activities (data collection, publications).
