Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Cardiovascular and Renal Physiology A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Adebowale Adebiyi, Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Adebiyi is seeking a highly motivated individual with a sincere passion for research to fill the position. The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in interdisciplinary research projects that use rodent and large animal models to study cardiovascular and kidney physiology and pathophysiology. The postdoctoral fellow should have hands-on experience in ex vivo and in vivo experimental techniques and be willing to learn and develop new approaches. Applicants with expertise in survival microsurgery; and ex vivo microperfusion of renal tubules or arterioles and useful skills such as confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, patch-clamp electrophysiology, experience with transgenic rodent models will be considered favorably for the position. The postdoctoral fellow will also manage projects, perform experiments, analyze data, publish papers, train students, and assist with the preparation and submission of grants. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
