Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Wayne State University; Detroit, Michigan seeks qualified candidates for the faculty position to focus on studying the molecular immune mechanisms responsible for pregnancy complications and biomarker discovery for the great obstetrical syndromes. Successful candidates will broaden a nationally recognized research program in this area. The individuals chosen for these positions will become part of a highly successful, fast-paced research group that focuses on clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine and related disciplines. The goal of this internationally recognized research is to develop novel diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative strategies to reduce adverse pregnancy outcome, infant mortality and handicap. The research agenda focuses on maternal-fetal immunobiology. The candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, productive research program; engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research.

Qualifications
Qualifications M.D. or MD./Ph.D. with postdoctoral studies in Maternal-Fetal Immunobiology or Placental Immunology. If MD required must have Michigan Medical License. Rank to commensurate to credentials.
